Make surprise soaps from your soap scraps
Easily encourage your children to wash their hands, whilst adopting an anti-waste approach. It’s not as hard as you think!
Recycle your soap scraps
Instead of throwing them away, poking them down the drain hole or fruitlessly trying to use that little soap remnant that slips between your fingers, put all your soap scraps aside.
When you have collected enough scraps, melt them in a little water (by grating or cutting them into small pieces beforehand) until a soft paste-like texture is achieved.
Transfer the paste to a mould and insert a small surprise figurine in the middle (avoid buying any figurines, opt to reuse objects instead). Leave to dry for at least 24 hours. And there you have it, a new soap that’s much nicer than the originals ever were!
Make hand washing fun!
By inserting a little surprise into your children’s soap, hand washing becomes a lot more fun. Children will love to see their figurine gradually appear and will therefore wash their hands more willingly!
